Jacob's Story

Hi, I'm Jacob I'M A NORTHERN CHEROKEE NATION OF THE OLD LOUISIANA TERRITORY native america and I enjoy riding my Harley and taking a drive in my Charger.partying with frinds I have a 3 foot long baby albino python that I got about two years ago. I'm the kind of man that would kill a snake without a second thought, but I lost my little dog and I wanted a pet that I would not become so sad over if it passed away. I would like to see the ocean and maybe travel to Paris even though its only a dream because this town will keep you close. I have lived all over the state of Oklahoma because my mom moved us around alot oilton temple, jennings, clevland. It seemed like just when I started to make a few friends we would move again. Eventually we moved back here to Cleveland, and I have been here ever since. I started work as a pipe tester in the oilfield when I got older. I Had trouble getting hired at first because I wasn't heavy. It's a hard job and nobody thought I wouldn't make it a week. I worked there for two years and I got the job done faster than the big and the tall. But, little did I know that just when my life was getting started I was destin to RIDE THE BULLET...on the morning of August 1st 2005 I woke up, turned off the alarm and got ready for my last day of normal life. My regular crew of two guys, Kenny, gary our driver, and I did a couple of jobs and were glad to be done for the day, because it was so hot outside. We were on our way home when we got a call from our boss. He wanted our driver to drop me or Kenny off in Hominy to work with Tray and Mike's crew, who need an extra hand. Kenny needed the hours so he wanted to go, when he got out of the truck he sliced his arm open on the rusty door frame. He needed stiches so I went in his place. I get on Mike's truck that has no AC, and Mike's big dog is sitting in my seat! Mike, Tray, and me with a large, brown, shedding dog in my lap are on our way to do a job down by Avant. Finishing that job was a relief, the dog was laid out in the cab so I decided to hop behind the passenger's side cab and clean up, which was not an uncommon thing to do. I was planning to get back up front when we got to the lights. We were traveling down Avant Road, I reached into the icechest and got a Gatoraid. The truck started to accelerate as we when down a hill and I knew something was wrong, the truck swerved to the right and then went off the road then it jerked left and started to fishtale, and then back to the right and then back to the left. Everything happen so fast, but to me it was like it was all in slow motion I was hanging on to the icechest, but the truck's wheels were already off the ground. I could see the pavement * * * * * * * * * The next thing I know I'm standing on the side of the road. The truck is about 100 feet from me on it's side with tools and debree scattered all down road, I hear a loud dripping sound, I know what the dipping sound is, I look down and I'm standing in a red substance I touch my head and my hand was cove...Expand for more
red with red. The slow motion ended and real time took its place, I took two steeps back the blood covered my eyes like a sheet I was blind. I colaped in the ditch and thats when I RODE THE BULLET... I heard a voice of a man saying, " can you hear me." I replied, "yes Sr." "do you want me to wipe the blood out of your face." the Man on the side of the road said. I can see a little bit after he wiped my eyes, but the blood keep blinding me. I started to yell at Mike to call my family to let them know that I'm not coming home, but the man on the side of the road convinced me to lay still because moving around was making the bleeding worse, I ask the man how bad it looked and he said that he wasn't going to lie to me, he said he could see my skull....the man said, "can you here them." and I said, "what?" "the sirens" he said. The sirens got closer and closer until they were right above me, but I could'nt see them. I heard the amblance crew say, "Oh my GOD! look it this one." I think they thought I was dead because I wasn't moving or anything. One man rolled me to my side to look for my walet. I told him that I don't carry a walet in the oilfeild. They seem shocked to see me speak. The man on the side of the road told them I was speaking and answering questions. They put me in an ambulance and worked on me. "how bad am I." "Your going to be alright." they said, but I knew they were just telling me that, I thought I was going to die i was in so much pain. An Ambulance crew member said "the bird is here." "Jacob have you ever rode in a bird." "whats a bird" I said. I was LifeFlight to the hospital somewere in the air i hear beep beep it got louder open my eyes 1 of the crue of lifeflight was holding 2 paddles i passed away lifeflight brought me back from the other side what i seen i will not share i woke up in hospital on a back board that was painfull to be on with no one around i thought thay were going to take my organs and let me die natural for i'm ORGAN Donor they put 12 staples and 10 stiches along the right side of my head to close a 6 inch laseration, skull fracture, concussion, neck fracture, and road rash and reabilitation. The truck rolled 3 times Mike the driver and his dog got thrown out on the first roll, the truck must have rolled over me and the cab smashed in with Tray still inside. Mike got scrapes and brusies and Tray hurt his back, and the dog was found 3 or 4 days later. MY FINAL THOUGHT: NOTHING SEEMS TO LAST, BUT THE BULLET. THE BULLET IS CONSTANT. THE BULLET IS ALWAYS THERE. YOU WAIT IN LINE, THAT'S ALL. AND WHEN ITS YOUR TURN TO RIDE THE BULLET, MAYBE YOU RIDE AND MAYBE YOU RUN. EITHER WAY, IT COMES OUT THE SAME. FUN IS FUN AND DONE IS DONE NOBODY LIVES FOREVER IF YOU HAVE NEVER STOOD IN ANOTHER MAN'S SHOES, AND SAW THINGS THOUGH HIS EYES, OR STOOD AND WATCHED WITH HELPLESS HANDS WHILE THE HEART INSIDE YOU DIES. SO HELP YOUR BROTHER ALONG THE WAY, NO MATTER WHERE HE STARTS. CAUSE THE SAME GOD THAT MADE YOU MADE HIM TOO THESE MEN WITH BROKEN HEARTS. ....
