Life
My Pets
I have 2 dogs: P.J. and Jazmine; and 2 cats: Zoe and Ziggy,. They're my buddies, they keep out unwanted guests, and I don't need an alarm clock:)
My Job
After 3 years of graduate school, I am now a K-12 School Counselor. I still coach girls basketball and track. For the first time in 10 years, I actually enjoy my job. It's difficult at times, but there is never a dull moment.
College
I attended Adams State College from 1989-1994. I majored in Business Administration with an emphasis in Education. I also played collegiate softball for Adams State from 1989-1993. I took six years off from school and went back in 2000 to begin my master's degree in Counselor Education. I was in a cohort group in Pueblo, but received my M.A. from Adams...Expand for more
State College in 2003. I will begin back to school in the summer (2005) to work on my Principal's licensure.
Workplace
I graduated from Adams State College in 1994, with a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Education. I did my student teaching at Rocky Ford High School in the Spring of '95 and got my first teaching job in the Fall of '95 at Las Animas High School. I taught Vocational Business Education in LA for three years, before moving back to Crowley to help my mom take care of my grandmother. I taught in Ordway for one year, and then went to Manzanola where I taught K-12 Music for 4 years. Upon completion of my master's degree in Counselor Education, I took a position in Granada, CO where I am currently the K-12 School Counselor.
