Well its been about 23 years. Wow, how time flies! Many of you know my story. I married one day prior to graduation. Yeah Greg had to sweep me on up and it was time we had been together since Moreland Elementary. Yall remember when I used to carry his 8x10 around-ha?! Shortly after graduation we moved to Clarksville, Tennessee. Gregory was in the military stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and Tennessee was about 15 minutes away from the base. We stayed there almost 6 months. We moved to Grant Park. I became employed at Cigna and a Chiropractor's office then started attending Cosmetology school. Within that time we had three kids. While attending school I became employed as an assistant at Bruce Woodard's salon (Bass High Alumni-thank you Bruce for the start). Later I moved to a salon in Kirkwood then Glenwood and birth my 4th kid and finally moved into my own salon, Simply Class by Jackie on Brannen and Gresham Rd. Almost a year and a half later moved to a home in Stone Mountain, gave birth to my fifth kid and worked like a mule, but loved every bit of it. Here comes the fifth child and things became more extreme. Greg managed the salon, became a minister and traveled weekly to Tennessee to preach and opened a transportation company. I gave birth to my sixth child. Greg became a pastor after starting a mission in Carrolton, GA, later moved to Douglasville, GA, then to Atlanta where he was ordained an Elder and later settled in Austell calling the church Deliverance Temple True C.O.G.I.C, Inc. Bishop Lawson (former overseer) placed him there to build up in Austell (for more info, thetruechurch.org) (Cynthia my sister and Robert my son-in-law are the webmasters). Really couldn't tell all about me unless I told about Greg because we actually grew up together, him 16 and myself 12 (they call it robbing the cradle). So you see I had to be supportive of his works as well as mine. Within this time, I became momma, wife, cosmetologist and 1st Lady. After the sixth child, I decided I needed to go home to raise my children because times were getting worse. Being broken hearted closed the salon, went home and later returned to the job force at AJC after about 5years and started back to doing hair. Sherika, my first child graduated from high school went to college, married (Robert), went to LeCordon Bleu and birth my first grand after 3years of waiting, WHEW! Second kid was made a minister, graduated from Morehouse married 2weeks before graduation (Kandis) alumni of CAU, a few months later moved to Antigua to attend Medical School. They made this decision because that was the only school that accepted them both.
