Jacqueline's Story
I'm finally retired and am enjoying condominium living in sunny Florida. My mom passed away recently (she was 98) which took me back to Chicago for the first time since 1975 and boy was I surprised with the changes although the old neighborhood still looked much the same except for the wear and tear of time. My one daughter is a grown woman now and I look at her and wonder where the years have gone. When signing up for this site, I had occasion to look up...Expand for more
some things about our alma mater and was kind of surprised to know that the attempt to bus in kids from outside our neighborhood boundaries is so historically significant...it was just another day at school to me, with a lot of attention from parents picketing and newspaper reporters hanging around...imagine what it would be like if that kind of event were to occur today!!! I would love to hear from any of you who might remember me, or even if you don't...
