Jacqueline's Story
Okay. I grew up in a dysfunctional family, and survived intact. That makes me normal.
I was painfully shy, loved Steve Flanagan from 7th grade through who knows when, dated the "school hood" senior year, fell in love with MoonDoggy the next year - married Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hide, had 2 children with rare, but different, birth defect diseases, divorced Mr. Hyde, and went on to have a life blessed with love, peace, and joy.
I went to college after my children were born. I stayed home and cared for my children until my son was 12, when my father retired and became a partial caretaker. I went to work for Enron and quit when they moved to Houston. I then went to work for the government - became a CPA working for the IRS as a Revenue Agent. I am exceptionally blessed because I love my job. I can count on one hand the times I was not thrilled to go to work each morning. I have had many experiences and adventures and have enjoyed them all. I am planning on retiring next year.

us. We are a fun bunch most days and laugh alot. We don't take life too seriously - my motto has always been "Keep a firm grasp on fantasy at all times". My daughter is married and has adopted 2 children - Lauren is 7 ahd Ethan is 2. I never thought I'd have grandchildren and never thought much about them. Now, they are my oxygen.
I've had over 30 foreign exchange students - some for 5 weeks and some for longer. I had a Guatemalan young man for 2 years, and have "adopted" him. He married a Japanese girl and they live in Japan. So, I have been to Japan twice and Guatemala 7 times. Very different and yet very similar places. I have also been to Ireland, and the Bahamas. I want to travel more of the U.S. and several more international destinations.
My retirement will be FULL. I plan on quilting - fininshing those unfinished ones; sewing; embroidering; reading; biking; walking; gardening; and most of all traveling! If I get bored, I'll try some other things.
I seldom find anyone I can't find something to like about, and would love to have a "lower class reunion".
