Jacqueline's Story
Life
Jacqueline Schuessler-Kimsey was born in Eagle Pass, Texas along the southwest Texas and Mexico border. While continuing to work full-time as well as volunteering for community groups, she has attended San Antonio College, the University of Houston Downtown and is currently continuing her education at Houston Community College. A committed public servant, she has been employee by the City of Houston for the past 17 years. Currently, she is Admistrative Specialist with the MayorÂs Office, Boards and Commission. This office oversee 260 various boards, commissions, and advisory committees and their memberships.
During her tenure with municipal Government, Jackie has worked in various capacities. She began her career as lifeguard. After a few years, she was promoted to the Parks and Recreation Department where she administered the Performing and Visual Arts Program. m. This also included the Park Starzs series, which encompassed two years of talent competition at over twenty city community centers with a finale every year. Other responsibilities included working as an Event Coordinator for the Special Event Office of Marketing and Communications. As a Recreation Supervisor working with the physical impaired the Houston Rolling Cougars.
Completely fluent in written and oral Spanish, Jackie utilizes her bilingual skills in her effort to help those under privileged communities who would not otherwise have a voice. Some of her numerous volunteer efforts include Casa de Esperanza, a crisis center for displaced and abused children infants to 6 years of age, Annual Celebrity Chef Auctions, Christmas Food Drives and Dave Marr Golf Scholarship Tournament.
Jacqueline has been in the Houston area for over 18 years. She is married to Scott Kimsey, and is the proud parents of two daughters. They currently reside in Missouri City, Texas. She may be reach on facebook.
