Jacquelyn's Story
Life
I have a daughter, a son and I have two granddaughters. I live in New York. What I've learned from my kids is they are much smarter than I am. And, my granddaughters are much smarter than my kids. I've learned to listen and communicate with them all. My granddaughters keep me updated on tech gadgets and how to use them.
I always wanted to be an artist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a terrible idea. As it turns out, they were half right.
I really enjoy working and creating on my computer. I spend most of my time on it. I guess you can call me a technological addict. LOL
Since getting in touch with some of my classmates in 2001, I try to keep in touch. Unfortunately, one of them has passed away and she is truly missed. My friends bring back a lot of good memories and some bad ones. Most of them are extremely good. Each one of my friends are very dear, and, very special to me.
My favorite way to ...Expand for more
relax is reading. I try to read as often as possible.
My best friend would tell you I'm a pushover, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as really mean. Probably because I rarely smile because I'm always thinking.
If I get one do-over I'd probably pursue a career in computer technology. It is a field that is ever changing and I'm fascinated with the new innovative ideas that appear on the markets so often.
I now live in Delaware. It is a far cry from New York. The best part of living here is living near a lake. I get to see beautiful sunsets from my window every day. I keep part of my week busy working at a homeless shelter. It is very rewarding and it gives me a reason to leave the house. I like working with the clients. I find that the majority of the homeless I have encountered are people who have been caught in an unfair system. I enjoy helping them to get a new start; one person at a time.
