Jaime's Story
Life
Life,
Well for starters I escaped Bell-Vagas, eventually! I was still in town until about 1995 until I met the love of my lifeÂ
Â
Â
.. Then in 1997 she moved in with the love of her life and I went back to Belleville.
Anyway, awkward huh?
Seriously the fact that she dumped me was the best thing that could have happened. Some of you ran into me then (Sorry). I ran around town with the usual suspects, Rick Randall, Mike Rokos (Yes - Mike Rokos) and ended up coming up with a failsafe plan to never have a steady girlfriend again while not becoming gayÂ
.
I moved Cindy Collins in with me. Hey it was brilliant, she was equally motivated to not get into a relationship having experienced one.
So our plan:
Nobody would ÂDate either one of us if we lived with each other, I mean who would put up with that? Brilliant! You know just like the Guinness guy says!
SO,
A little more than a year later we were marriedÂ
Â
.. NO, not to each other oddly enough, now that I think of it.
She married a guy she met shortly after moving in and I married our very own Sandy Berens.
Today Sandy we live in North Carolina we have 3 wonderful kids, Samuel (6), Caden (3), and Amelia (10m). We struggle with all things that parents struggle with, time, sleep, kids, school, and Sandy struggles with why she agreed to any of this in the first placeÂ
..
As for me IÂm happy as a clam, we still get visits from some classmates at various times, Stephanie Muir, Mike ...Expand for more
Rokos, Rick Randall, ect (yup the same bunch) I ran into John Guest a few years ago, heÂs still funny.

School
You know the story, BTHS West!
College
Like most of us I went to the now non-existent Belleville Area College for some time. During the last few years IÂm still working on my degree while balancing home and an Active Duty Military career. IÂve finished up my junior year at the University of Phoenix Online. Just one to go so I should finish up in about 10 more years!
Workplace
In the Coast Guard IÂve done just about everything from Distress Radio operator to surveillance and flying and now IÂm an Investigator. In my current job I do everything from investigate fights and deaths on ships to accidents ranging from minor boating incidents to major disasters. The easiest way to describe my job is imagine CSI on the water.
Military
Back in 1998 I enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and disappeared off the face of the earth. I went to Boot Camp in Cape May NJ and then was stationed at tech school in Petaluma California. After completing school I was stationed in Galveston Island Texas in late 1999 and left for Sacramento California in 2001. In 2002 I went to Officer Candidate School in New London Connecticut and was assigned as an officer in Norfolk Virginia in 2003. In 2004 I was sent to Navy Flight School in Pensacola Florida and arrived in Elizabeth City North Carolina in the summer of 2005. Where I hope to finally unpack our stuffÂ
