Jake's Story
In a nutshell, joined Army (29Y Satcom), marry, divorce, go to Okinawa, Japan for 2 years (loved Japan), went to Army Space Command (1C Satellite Controller course for the military folks reading) and up to Fort Detrick, Maryland.
Did 6 years, got out, got job contracting with Dept. Of State, got divorced, got married again. Have a 10 yo stepson Aaron and a 5 yo son Jacob (the Vth for anyone who didn't know I was the IVth). I've got a wonderful wife and couldn't feel more lucky. Unless I could get my...Expand for more

Job is interesting enough. I've been there 12 years and get to travel a few weeks out of the year. Gotten out to California, Suriname, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Czech Republic, Bahamas, and some more I can't think of. Basically, myself and another guy work as contractors for Dept. of State and another government agency doing the operation/maint. of a satellite earth terminal. Through the terminal we help maintain links up to US Embassy post around the world.
