James's Story
I officially moved to Phoenix,AZ in 1984. Went to Auto body Tech Classes and got certified as a high end Auto Body Technician. Got myself a good job and made good money. I also did Computer Repairs and Sales on weekends. Did that for 13 years and just recently closed my store that was called Home Grown Computers. Now I have a house full of some older and some new computer stuff.
Worked hard and got myself a nice newer home on the side of Lookout Mountain here in Phoenix. House had everything, pool, spa, 14 ft vaulted ceilings, fireplace, and everything else. On a Cul-de-sac with 8 other homes. It was a really nice place and I had it all fixed up nice. But I started having health problem...Expand for more
s...I became diabetic and could no longer work. Got put on disability but that wasn't enough to make mortgage payments, so I had to sell my House.
With the money I made I was able to buy a manufactured home and a small Motor Home.
Now I spend most of my time at home playing my guitar and going to Cardiac Therapy 3 times a week. Trying to get back into shape. I gained 28 pounds after going on insulin.
It has been over 20 years since I've been back to Geneva, NY. I plan on saving enough money to take a 3 week trip back there in my RV. The price of gas to drive there is murder at 8 miles a gallon on my RV. It has a Chevy 454 in it!
Anyhow, that's the short part of my story up to date!
