James's Story

Many of you may remember me as the "school magician". I was in all the talent shows! Well, I'm still a huge magic fan, but I'm not performing professionally any more (did that up to '93). My magic got me interested in music editing, which led to a college major in Telecommunications & Film. that led to working at a recording studio in Hollywood and later to a 25-year career with NBC in San Diego where I received 11 Emmy awards for my work in sound. actor and author. My book, "The Art of Voice Acting" is in its 5th edition (6th edition planned for late 2018) and will be published in Chinese in December 2017. From 2007 to 2014 I produced 5 International voiceover conventions and helped inspire dozens of other voiceover events.
