James's Story

Life Kicking back. Looking at all the people. Wondering where did they all come from and most of all... why ? The universe can seem small at times. Philosophy !! ( Like a H. Chapman song.) By the way I also use the name Jim Becker on this site and have some blog there too, not much though. You think of those questions more often after you 've gone through some medical miracles. I know because I've gone through a few medical miracles. For instance, my neurologist told me that I died a couple of times while he was working on my brain and that I had awoke during the operation to ask him " do you know what you're doing ?". That I don't remember so well, maybe because of the operation. But I do remember looking in the mirror and becoming horrified as I noticed stitches on my partly shaved head. I looked more closely in the bathroom mirror and felt unfamiliar with the setting, so I looked out the door wondering if I was going to see Dr. Frankenstein. What a wake up call !!!!!!! Changing the subject, thank goodness for children. I enjoy watching my children go through school/college and listening to them complain about teachers/professors that don't have the intelligence to foresee what my meant to write; ahhhh, reminds me of that song line by Harry Chapman -they're "just like me",which brings up memories of the red marks on my assignment/research papers. And those memories still pain me a bit because I thought I wrote best sellers. Amazingly, the University gave me a 4 year B.B.A. degree (I'm guessing to get me out of there). So now, I'm debating whether a stint in a Masters degree program is worth the g...Expand for more
old they want me to shell out. After 17 semester hours, I'm still debating and I guess I'll keep that way for now. Ponder, ponder, ponder. But I' m satisfied with the first school (UTEP) and their methods for career work -scholastically. Wow, man did I gain a lot more knowledge than I realized! And I still maintained my terrific sense of humor (some of you are probably thinking okaaaay). I'll be looking for your comments /replies. So named by Coach Saddlemire---- --------------------- 'uglyman'-------------------- James Becker "all rights reserved". School Yo-Hi Red Devil '69-'70 in Yokohama, Japan. University of Texas graduate with a bachelor's of Business Administration Degree in Management. University of Phoenix on the Ontario, CA campus in the Masters of Business program- completed 17 of 51 hours. -----------------------'uglyman II'-------------------------- 07/30/08 Still going back and forth on any issue. Do I or don't I agree ? I began to relax and drink a cold cup if iced coffee while eating a donut. I got into a conversation with my friend John Brice about the black holes in the universe and how the planet's masses of 'goooooo' (lava) led to suggestions of the planet being an intelligent life form that has been around for a while. We started to discuss the philosophy of these ideas when I realized I had to go. So I made a promise to discuss these events another time. I'll see u all later.
