James's Story
-took year off after graduating: work, travel, picked oranges on a kibbutz
-two years at Middlebury College, also attended summer language program, Spanish (am still fluent)
-transferred to and graduated from Brown University, history and political science major
-Bicentennial Summer, cycled from Seattle to New Haven, as a journalistic project
-'76-'78: lived in San Francisco

-travelled in SE Asia, lived in Bali for 6 months, studying music, dance, mask carving
-returned to New Haven in '79
-married Nancy Moore (class of '71) in 1980, divorced 2001
-two children, daughter Emily (now 29), son Sean (now 25)
-practiced law from '87 to '2002
-since '2002, I have been a social studies and journalism teacher, at Wilbur Cross High School. Love my job.
