Two weeks after graduating I was in the Air Force and on my way to Europe and Africa. I travelled extensively and left the AF with the rank of Sergeant and a honorable discharge. I joined the Navy. The drab of Minnesota could not keep me after I had seen half the world. I left the Navy as a Petty Officer with an honorable discharge, met a girl named June Ann Senger, Redwood High Class of "70. and married her in 1974. I joined the Army as a 26 year old PFC. Eleven years later I was a Master Sergeant, E-8, with enough time in to retire. Though I feel I would have made E-9, the highest Enlisted rank, I had a lucrative offer from the Kansas Correctional System to join their ranks. My job in the Army was running military prisons and I had been Provost Sergeant (Senior Corrections NCO) for the 5th Infantry Division. I worked for Kansas for two decades and retired again.
