James's Story

Hi all -- Well, where do we start ? Two wonderful children and 6 grandchildren. Enlisted in the Air Force in 1966, got out and worked for a precision sheet metal fabricator in Plainview, Joined the sheet metal union ( Local 55 HVAC) could not stand the union mentality, opened a jewelry business ( Elegance in Gold inc.) in 1974. In1976 bought a gas station, gutted the bays and put a grocery store/ full deli in. Made money, but the hours where long. In 1989 I decided to do what I know best. I opened Monarch Metal Fabrication the home of the Z-CLIP with my wife at the time, Mary Mitc...Expand for more
hell Carter. We did all high end architectural metal Fab. re: Brass,Bronze, stainless steel and aluminum. I developed a piece of hardware for the Wood working industry to hang panels _ The Monarch Z-CLIP , look it up on the web. The business, with the leadership of Mary and myself took off like a rocket. Made lots and lots of Green. I sold the Business in 2011, and I am officially retired. I manage my real estate business, DHC Management in Bohemia, NY. It is a 18,000 square foot industrial building with 7 tenants. I have been very blessed in my life. God bless America and Family.

If you look real close you can see Alfred the alligator. Alfred is a special member of the family . He was only bad once when the landscaper got to close to the hedge of the pond. We send flowers to his family and a card.
