James's Story

A hoot and howl the whole way. Graduated DHS and quit college before I ever arrived. Floated for one year (ate a lot of Capn' Crunch and caught up on T.V.) On a lark joined the military. Stationed in HI for almost 4 years. Rough duty but notice the islands remained safe while I was there. Time spent here filled with only great memories. Got out after 4 years of active duty and returned to college a changed person. Now a serious student I graduated in 3 years (could not afford another year of undergraduate tuition since I knew I wanted to blow $ on grad school). Went to grad school. After first year was involved in a serious car accident that put me on my back for a good while. Mov...Expand for more
ed to MA from NYC to recover. Got a job in HR and never looked back. Last Summer Dead run made was in 86'. Married in 87' and daughter arrived in 90' (now off at UMA Amherst). Went to 30 yr. reunion but arrived too late for the actual reunion but caught a few drinks with a few of you. For those of you I saw it was great and for those I missed I hope we catch up at some point. After over 8 years of near constant travel have recently changed jobs. Interesting going from being gone most of the time to now being home most of the time. Great memories of DHS now all well in perspective. Hope most of you have kept your humor and youth since I never liked old, serious people. Best to all!
