James's Story
Life
After school I went to work for Monsanto Chemical Company. I spent 32 years with Monsanto in varying roles interrupted for two years (1970-1972) to complete military service. Served with 1/9 1st Air Calvary, any other Troopers out there please reach out. I resumed my career with Monsanto upon returning in 1972.
In 1995 I moved to corporate as the North America Contract Manager for Third Party Facilities. In 2000 changes were occurring within Monsanto/Solutia that opened a door for an early retirement package in March of 2001.
In May of 2001 I went to work for Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals as the Planning and Inventory Manager of their St. Louis Plant. In 2006 I moved to corporate assuming...Expand for more
the role of Senior Manager Global Distribution Operations.
I retired in May 2019 and am enjoying playing golf, planting Cindy’s flower garden, remodeling our home and spending time with those who mean the most to me. As chance would have it I still get to see a few of our classmates at the golf course.
Cindy and I were married in 1974 and have three great children together who are now pursuing their own careers. Justin born 1980, Jamin born in 1982 and Jessi born in 1986.
I now officially feel old.... In February I joined the ranks of those needing/having joint replacement surgery. New right knee. Anxious to see how it impacts my golf swing. The older I get the more help I need.
