We have two children a son who is married with 2 little children and has a web design company in the Philippines. Our daughter had 4 daughters. The oldest is a senior in high school. At 9 years old out oldest granddaughter raised 30,000 dollars to build a school in Uganda. she was speaking all over the country. I’ ve seen her and her younger sister speak to over 600 people at a luncheon. I’m a proud grandfather of them all.. Last year they put together 6000 shoe boxes to send for Christmas gifts. s in a reserve unit in Hawaii. When I retired Kathy said I guess we won’t be spending 6 weeks a year in Hawaii . We have been spending November in the islands. I’ve had a Interesting life and would like to reflect a bit. I told our youngest granddaughter there are only two for sure things in life, death and taxes. She immediately said Hi Pa death isn’t for sure there are 2 people who went to heaven without dying. Try arguing that! I was in the first class that started kindergarten at Hamilton Elementary School and went through 6th grade. Then 60 years this fall went to Campbell Grammer and we formed the Campbell Class of 66 (except those that went to Westmont). Many of you 60 years ago this was our first meeting either in PE with Mr Bryant or Peckham. Shop with Mr Jolamay. Music with Mr T. We are all in our 70’s. I have lived longer than my parents or grandparents. My sister passed away 3 years ago. In our neighborhood I grew up in Ive heard that Rick Spano, Ron Sekavec and David Ritter (64) all died young. This past week I found out that Lesley Wale had passed away, I know there are many more that are no longer with us.. I believe Gary Talley was killed in Vietnam. It might sound like I’m a preacher I’m anything but. I didn’t go to Chico for the academics. We all thought we were invisible and will live forever. As a classmate and friend i would like to ask each and everyone of you where will you spend eternity? In the Johnny Cash movie Walk the Line there is one scene where Sam Philips is talking if Johnny if he had just one song before he died. If anyone would like to talk Jim Clark
