James's Story
Life
Right now, I'd just like to thank everybody for being a part of my life, at school and beyond. We have helped each other grow in ways we could neither imagine nor comprehend. I thank my friends for their love and support, but I also thank my enemies for their resistance, which is a critical factor for our physical and spiritual growth.
Again, I thank you all!
Workplace
As some of you may know, I was a land surveying technician for over 20 years in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and
Texas. Now I have a CDL and drive a cement truck...Expand for more
in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Military
Not much to say here -- I'll leave the bragging rights to other guys who have done so much more, although I was the first of our class of 67 to join the service.
First, I joined the US Army on June 21 (we graduated on May 21), but being underage (17, without a parent's signature), I was Honorably Discharged on August 22 -- all before I was 18!
Then. I joined the US Marine Corps on March 21, 1968 for four years and got out in 1972.
Seems that the 21st has played a significant role in my life!
