James (Mike)'s Story
OK,
For those who don't remember; I was the pimple faced drum major in band. I also played trumpet. My best friends were Mike Miller, Tony Perez, Rudy Cervantez and Kim Cummings. My only two official girlfriends were Veronica Cruz, '83 and Irma Rubalcava, '85. Sorry if that embarasses either of you.
It has been years since I've spoken to anyone from my past, and I'm sorry to say even longer to those who've meant the most to me. I'm now very sorry for this. The death of Mike Miller was devistating to me and made me retreat from all my high school memories. I couldn't even bring myself to attend his funeral, another regret. That's the best I can do for an explanation right now.

in Law Enforcement. I got out in '92 thinking the grass was greener on the other side, LOL. I then became a Deputy Sheriff in Denver, CO, where I remained until 2001. From then up to now I have been a police officer in Peoria, AZ.
I married my high school sweetheart, Irma Rubalcava in 1985, but divorced after 7 years. We had our son, Ryan Axxel in '89. He moved to AZ to be with me and is now a man, living on his own. I am very proud of him.
I remarried in '93 to Dawn, whom I met in CO. We had two more sons; Daegan, 12 and Demyan, 3. Dawn and I are currently going through a divorce but are the best of friends and will be forever. Our boys keep us level headed and happy.
