From 1997 to 2011, Jim Delmotte served as a Senior Consultant for Daudlin, De Beaupre and Company, a retained executive search firm specializing in the healthcare field. In this role, Jim developed strategic business development opportunities for the firm. He also managed all retained search services and activities. Prior to becoming an executive recruiter, Jim was an Associate Dean of Arts & Sciences at Macomb Community College, one of the nations’ largest grantors of Associate Degrees. From 1990 to 1997, Jim provided the academic leadership for the academic instructional program, intercollegiate athletics, intramural sports, and community-wide wellness initiatives. For the first 14 years of his professional career, Jim supervised and managed recreation programs, services, and facilities for a hospital, municipal government agencies, and a YMCA. Positions held include Recreation Supervisor, Education Director, Founder and President, and Director of Recreation Services. He also received certifications from the Executive Development Program at Indiana State University and the Sports Management Program at Wheeling, West Virginia. He has continued to grow professionally through active participation in state and national associations, such as the Leadership 21 Conferences sponsored by the Community College Consortium and Emerging Leaders Institute held at the University of Michigan. Jim’s commitment to serving the community speaks volumes about his character. Mentoring an at-risk student for the past nine years and volunteering at a leadership level on numerous school and church committees distinguishes him from his peers. Actively supporting fundraising efforts on behalf of the American Heart Association, Doctors without Borders, The Nature Conservancy, and Campus Crusade portray an individual grounded and dedicated in contributing to bettering the lives of others. He and his wife, Sue, an Occupational Therapist with the Macomb Intermediate School District, have three children and reside in the Detroit suburb of Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan. Joseph is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of San Diego and is practicing law in San Diego. Emily is also a graduate of the University of Michigan and at Johns Hopkins University. She presently works for an international health agency in Washington, D.C. Rachel recently graduated from DePaul University in Chicago. She works as a Graphic Artist in Portland, OR. Jim’s avocations include; golf, tennis, yoga, travel, reading, fitness, film, music, and sailing.
