James's Story
I have lived in the Los Angeles, California area since 1963. (with a couple of years elsewhere)I got my undergraduate degree from UCLA and then went to graduate school at UCLA also.
I have practiced law in the L.A. area for 32 years and am very active in "progressive" political activities and labor organizing. I was "with" (full time and part time) the United Farmworkers for 27 years and also worked for several other unions

I have been arrested 63 times and have actually been deported to Mexican twice. No convicitons though (although before I became an attorney I pled guilty to "obstrucitng traffic" - which I did not do - after I was initially charged with 13 felony counts of "inciting a riot".)
I would love to get back in touch with as many Washington-Clay High School graduates (and especially class of 1961 and years near there) as possible
