Life
Senior Chief Elswick left Pontiac, Michigan to enlist in the Navy in June 1990, He completed recruit training at Recruit Training Center San Diego, CA, and transferred to Naval Air Technical Training Center Millington, Tennessee, for initial training as an Aviation Support Equipment Technician (AS). ASAN Elswick reported for his first tour of duty in March 1991 to Naval Support Activity Naples, Italy Detachment Capodichino.
AS2 ElswckÂs first sea duty assignment began in June 1996 when he reported to AmericaÂs Big Stick, USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN 71), home ported in Norfolk, VA, deploying twice to the Mediterranean Sea and Persian Gulf in support of NATO Operation ALLIED FORCE/Joint Task Force NOBLE ANVIL and Operation SOUTHER WATCH. In June 2000 AS1 Elswick became an instructor at Naval Air Technical Training Center Pensacola Fl. sea duty Chief Elswick was call home to  AmericaÂs Big Stick for A third tour to the Mediterranean Sea and Persian Gulf in support of Operation INDURING FREEDOM. It was during this tour that he attained his current rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer.
He reported to Fleet Readiness Center South-East, Key West Fl, as the Senior Enlisted Advisor for his present duty assignment in February 2007.
Senior Chief Elswick married the former Raquel Susanna Dimmick of Sonoma CA, on May 25, 1995. They were blessed with four children, Matthew Scott, Zachary Taylor, Christina Marie and Jeremy Robert.
Senior Chief Elswick Proudly wears the Enlisted Aviation Warfare and Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist insignia. His personal military decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (Six awards), the Air Force Achievement Medal, the Good Conduct Medal (four awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
