James's Story
I am a widower. My wife died of cancer when my daughter was 18months old and my son was 4 months old. It was a hard period for me, but my mother rose to the task as did my father. I survived the brutality of those times. After serving in RVN as a helicopter pilot, I was inured of brutality.. it helped. Now both my children are grown. After the Army I went down to Wall Street and worked my way up to the trading desk, where( modesty implied here)I excelled. I had a 33 year career and retired at 52, with enough in the bank that I can live comfortably. I have been lucky as an immigrant and this country has been kind to me; truly the land of opportunity. I'm and will always be forever grateful for the opportunities provided me!
