James's Story

Moved to California in 1983 to finish college at SFSU in their Broadcast Communication Arts dept. Finished in 1986, moved back to Illinois briefly in 1987 (Rogers Park, in Chicago), then back to San Jose in less than a year. Finished my first documentary in 2000 and went to Sundance Film Festival with it in 2001, ...Expand for more
and it aired nationally on PBS in 2002. Produced about half a dozen more documentaries since then, three have been on PBS. I'm currently divorced with one son age 24 and two step sons in their 30s. Planning to move back to Canada ASAP, but realistically will probably have to wait until I can semi-retire at age 62.
