James's Story

Life I'm a public affairs writer and TV producer/host for California State University, San Bernardino; I'm also an organist and choir director at a Lutheran church and a Jewish synagogue. And I teach an occasional music class for Elderhostels in Southern California. My daughter lives in Los Angeles and is a massage therapist. I'm married and we live in the Palm Springs area. r I can still hear Miriam Tymeson's distinctive voice and her hard heels clicking slowly and deliberately down that tile hallway.... College I went to CUC 1968-72; got a double major in English and music, with a minor in history. Enjoyed singing and traveling in Pro Musica and choir with Paul Hill and Lyle Jewell. I think Winton Beaven, the president when I started there, was one of the most intelligent men I've ever met. I really remember fondly Roland Gray (French), Kent Seltman (English), Van Knauss (music), the late Mary Robertson (English) and many other honest, dedicated, bright and caring teachers.
