cherylanne's Story
Cherylanne aka Cherokee is from Oakland, California. She attended McClymonds High School and graduated in 1973. She later attended Mills College School of Education. She joined the USAF and did a tour in Saudi Arab during Operation Desert Storm she was called up during her reservist duty. She worked at Mt. Sinai Hospital a Level One Trauma Center in Chicago, Illinois for 15 years working in the Emergency Room as a Trauma RN being up front and personal with the violence in Chicago effect...Expand for more
ed her life and made her realize as she always new how precious life is. She retired from Mount Sinai with a heavy heart but she new she did the best she could for patients, family members, Doctors and co-workers. Sometimes you just have to walk away for your own sanity which she did, but she still continues to care about people. Being a first Responder is rewarding but the same time can be heartbreaking. She moved back to California in 2017 and resides in American Canyon near Napa, Ca.
