James's Story
After high school spent 2 years at Clark College. Married Kathy Seamanin, joined the Air Force and spent 2 1/2 years in Biloxi, Miss. Was stationed in McChord for a year and then was assigned to Elmendorf, AFB, Anchorage, AK. Got out of the AF in Sept 74, and joined the Alaska Air National Guard as a full-time employee. Did that for 31 years and in 2005, retired from all the military stuff after 38 years.
Along the way, Kathy and I had a daughter, (Kim) now a mom and school teacher. Kathy and I divorced in 1975 and both remarried. We have remained close friends. Kathy later had another daughter and Belinda and I had a daughter, Kelly...Expand for more
and a son Dustin. Kelly is married and is a police officer (as is her husband Scott) in Anchorage. They have 4 boys and another (boy/girl) on the way. She was an outstanding fast-pitch softball player. Making the all-state team her soph/jun/sen years at Service High school in Anchorage. She also excelled in girls vollyball all the way through high school winning several state championships. Dustin is a paramedic and works on the slope. He is a big kid 6-4 and 220 lbs. He attened the largest high school in Alaska (Servcie High school). He could stuff a basketball in the 8th grade. He was co-captain of his football team and voted MVP.
