James (Jim)'s Story
Joined the Air Force in 1954. After basic training at Sampson AFB,NY, had assignments in Wyoming (F.E.Warren), Korea(Osan), Florida(Tyndall), Turkey Karamursel), Germany (Darmstadt), Georgia (Robins), Germany (Spangdahlem, North Dakota (Grand Forks), Philippines (Clark), New York (Griffiss), Korea (Seoul), Virginia (Langley), Germany (Ramstein), and Washington State (McChord). gley) in order to work again as a Budget Officer. When the installation Budget Officer position became vacant, returned to Washington State (McChord) for 7 years. Final position was in Florida (MacDill) before retiring in 1997. Married my wife, Ute, in Germany in 1961. We are parents to two sons, unfortunately one is deceased. Now retired in Florida living in an over 55 community enjoying social activities, golf, and travel. Unfortunately my wife, Ute, passed away 29 Feb 2020. We were married for 59 years.
