James's Story
Life
I have not changed much over the years yet I have grown to be the man I always wished I would be. The most important person in my life is my son. Although I am single I have a good relationship with his mother. I spend most of my free time writing poetry. When I'm not working on that I'm working on this book I am writing called the stick-up (The joint is off the chain) I date a lot but don't see myself geting married anytime soon (sisters got issues)and I'm not settling for just anybody. I still dabble in the production of rap music as it's always been a life-time hobbie of mines ( I'm pretty good at that to). People have come and gone but I'm still here and thats what I consider my biggest accomplishment. Here is a poem I wrote just incase ya'll into the poetry thing.
I am
What I am describes the combination
of the inner essence and the outer body
which is me.
What Am I ask the question of others of
my essence and bodies what do the perceive.
I find knowledge of self in who I am.
There is unawareness of self in who Am I.
Knowing who, what and from where...Expand for more
I came
empowers me
Accepting what you say I Am makes a poor
servant of me.
We all have chose in who we choose to be.
Many a path to lead us astray but only one
which sets us free.
Either define who you are or become that
confused random person that the world of the all
knowing THEY would have you to be.
Alone in a crowd I stood as this realization
subdued me.
Understanding of the I Ams had long alluded me.
So concerned about other that myself I could not
clearly see.
My sealed eyes opened wide and self-awareness flushed
past the flood gates of my closed mind with the
force of a thousand Red Seas.
Knowledge of self now leads me to believe.
I Am the master of my fate.
The setter of the attainable goals which I set out
to achieve.
I have
360 degrees of understanding.
I Am
A building block of my community.
I Am
Somebodies eternal soul mate.
I Am
A protector of my loved ones.
I Am
Empowered because I know who and what I am.
Never again will I ask the questions. Who or what Am I ?
I Am
mentally free.
BE blessed; Ya'll nigga, Jay
