After graduating from Conant, I helped open Marshall Field's at Woodfield Mall. I worked there and other places off and on until I joined the Navy at a Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers game on October 21, 1974. I married Debbie Newmann 2 months before on Aug 17. I went to boot camp at GreatLakes and when I got out of boot, I was informed that we had a child on the way. He was born on June 11, 1975. He grew up to become an aeronautical engineer. I spent the next year and a half at Great Lakes going to school and then moved to Eatontown NJ for 6 months when I found out I had diabetes. I was discharged shortly after. I came back to Chicago and worked for various companies and then went to work for Kodak out of Oakbrook. After leaving Kodak I got involved with computers and worked as a Field Engineer for the next 20 or so years for Data General and various other companies.
