Life If you had told me when I was a senior that my wife and I would have 6 kids (5 girls, including identical twins, and 1 boy), I'd have told you you were crazy. Well, they drive me crazy! Katie, my wife, is a '74 graduate of Summit High School in New Jersey and a '78 graduate of Lafayette College. Rachel, the oldest, is 27 and married to Douglas Meck; they live in Bethlehem, and Rachel is expecting our first grandchild - a boy - in May. Caitlin is 26 and lives across the street from Rachel. Both are both teachers at Chesterbrook Academy, a pre-school. Josh, who lives with us, is a chef at Denny's and is 6-feet 7-inches tall! Identical twins Jordan and Rebecca are 19, but completely different. Jordan is in customer service at The Sands casino in Bethlehem, and Becca is a U.S. Marine based at Cherry Point, NC where she keeps records for a squadron that repairs Harrier jets. (Their birthday is August 26, which is also Rachel's birthday!) And Abbie, the runt of the litter, is 18 and a freshman at Millersville University. My 27-year career in the newspaper business ended in the fall of 2000 when I took Social Security Disability and left The Morning Call, where I had worked for 10 years on the night copy desk.
