James's Story
James (Jim) is from Overlea, Maryland. He has been married to Barbara Panamarow, of Hamilton, for 52 years. They have 3 daughters and 8 grandchildren. He graduated from Overlea High and attended Frostburg State where he played football. He was drafted into the Army and later graduated from the US Army Infantry OCS as a 2LT. After training in Hawaii, he spent a year in Vietnam as a Combat Platoon Leader with the Americal Division. B, Philippines; and, he worked on the return of POWs in 1972-73. After 26 years of both active and reserve duty, Jim retired as an LTC. He obtained a BA from Chapman College and an MBA in 1979 from the University of Baltimore. Jim retired in 2009 as Vice President, and Director of Corporate Security with Science Applications International Corporation in both La Jolla, Ca, and McLean Virginia.
His long interest in golf is waning. He enjoys spending time with his family and gardening in Fuquay Varina, North Carolina.
