Life
Well, we have 5 kids all grown and gone. Three of my own and two of my wife's. Four grandchildren. We play a lot with them. Now that I am retired from the Marine Corps, and the kids are gone we have some toys to play with. Pontoon boat, motorhome, downsized our home and have pool, jacuzzi. All the materialistic stuff we couldn't have with the kids. Having loads of fun. Have two prostethic hips, and plenty of surgeries the past few years. Last one was a gastric by-pass and am now 1/2 the size I used to be. Have to watch out for high winds, or off I go...I've been going through a mid-life crisis for around 5 years now, so that's where all the toys come into play. We also have ATV's, so that's another important factor of spending so much time having surgeries. I just love being a grandparent and seeing the kids grow with their children. who appropriatly is named Princess. Took a while for the grandkids to know who we were speaking to. The dog and I pal around a lot. She is too good with the kids. They lay all over her and all that, and she kind of blows them off, and just lets it all happen. We travel quite a bit. Who knew I would be a camping sort of person after all the years in the Corps. Not really camping though. Retired from work again in June this year. Dee and I have been traveling in motor home a lot, mostly to San Diego where it's warm and no wind. Palm Springs will kill you with the wind. I've been 100% disabled from the Veteran's Administration for quite a number of years, but try to do what I can to carry on. Have spoken to a few people from school, and am looking forward to a reunion one of these days, just to see you know? Also still looking for Billy Reith if anyone knows....
