James's Story

Life Well, I've just returned from Japan, where I've spent a half dozen summers with the Fulbright Master Teacher Program over the past 10 years. I run the continuation HS for Shoreline Unified in West Marin and also teach Industrial Arts (woodshop) and photography at Tomales HS. I'm married and live in Santa Rosa. I communicate with Greg Donovan, Catherine Framm, Chet Carlistle, and Sue Tate at least once a year. I cross paths with a few other people from our class from time to time, but I've lost touch with too many old friends to list. It would be grand if there was some...Expand for more
sort of reunion, but it doesn't look like anything is in the works, save the "Dead on the Creek" event. Bio? Lemme see...I enjoy windsurfing, bicycles, shop projects and puttering. I taught mountaineering (COB trained) and was on the Bodega Bay Fire Department for years. My three sisters and mother live in the area and we see each other on a regular basis. I taught in England in 1984 and 1991 on Fulbrights. I've moved from dogs to cats when I settled in the 'burbs and have Max and Mona at the foot of the bed on a regular basis. Life is good. Keep your tips up! Jim McElroy
