James's Story
Life
I am living just about 7 miles the ol' hood, in Norridge. Not far geographically, but light years away in terms of esthetics and demographics! Thank GOD! I have 2 dogs and run my own catering and special events business. Are you throwing a party? Need advice or Staff? call me!
I've had quite a few jobs over the years since the 80's. Hated most of them, and of course many didn't pay well either. I currently work as a part time teacher for a couple of suburban schools doing home economics and food class, as well as substitute teaching during the slow season, usually winter time. My father Paul passed away back in 1996, you may remember him from the carnivals selling beer at the beer tent! lol. My mom is still alive, s...Expand for more
he is in a nursing home unfortunately, we are lucky to still have her with us! What else? ask me, there's tons more to tell you! I hope to be in touch with more of you soon!
College
I attended De Paul University 1984-1988. it was ok, nothing special. I actually hated that school because it was pretty much an impersonal "get ahead of everyone else before they do you in" kind of place in the 80's economy. Remember this was the primetime decade of Dallas, Dynasty, big hair and yuppies -Yuck! I continued my post bachelor's work at University of Illinois Champaign 1989, and at Northeastern Illinois University 1986, 1990, in Music Education. Much healthier atmospheres in terms of school environs and a lot more pleasant attitudes.
