James's Story
After EHS I went to Centre College of Kentucky and earned my degree in chemistry. I then attended University of Louisville School of Medicine and got my MD in 1970. I was drafted in 1971 and served 2 years in the US Navy at the Naval Ordnance Station at Indian Head, Maryland. Upon discharge from the Navy, I moved to Franklin KY where I still live. active in our church and my wife and I have done several medical missions to Guatemala. I married Sylvia Clark (Waggener 1963) and she remains my trophy wife. We have 2 daughters, one a teacher in Franklin and the other a nurse in Louisville. We have twin 12 year old grandsons in Franklin and a 6 year old grandson in Louisville. We enjoy dancing (swing, country-western, and ballroom), travel, medical missions, and our little open country Baptist Church.
