My Spouse
I met my wife at Naha Air Base, Okinawa, Japan. We worked together in the same office. we got married in October 1967.
My Kids
Both my son's are Mechanical Engineers. My older son (James jr.) graduated from Oklahoma State University in May 2001 and moved to Seabrook, Texas. In March 2002, he started working for the same engineering company as I do in Houston, Texas. My younger son (Michael)graduated from the University of Houston in 1997 and currently works on NASA's Mars Mission Program at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. My daughter (Diane) is going to college in Boulder, Colordao and is working towards a degree in pharmacology.

When I retired from the U.S. Air Force (after 27-years) in 1990, I began working full-time with an engineering company in Honolulu, Hawaii that specializes in construction management. I am a Registered Civil Engineer in Hawaii. I recently moved from Hawaii (October 2001) to work with an engineering company in Houston, Texas so my wife and I could be closer to our kids and grandkids. In September 2002, my company reorganized and selected me to be the Senior Vice President of Operations, which is fancy way of saying I not only get to solve problems in the Houston office, but also in Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio, TX. At least I get to keep the frequent flyer miles!
