James's Story
Life
I quite school to join the Armed Forces and ended up in the 82nd Airborne Div. at Ft Bragg,NC. I joined the 11th Special Forces {Resv}. Married a local girl, had a boy Jamie and a girl Debbie. I drove 18 wheel trucks for a while, and was a NASCAR mechanic for John Sears, who was sponsered by the trucking company. I started my law enforcement career in N.C. With the NC Dept of Correction doing routine guard work, and worked with tracking dogs. Later advanced to peace officer status due to job classification, transporting inmates all over the U.S. I was sworn in as a city policeman of Aberdeen. I attended Western Piedmont College, with degree in Criminal Justice. I divorced and married a second time. We left NC and moved back to Dallas in 1972, after our 17 day old son passed away of Sids. Continued in law enforcement working my way up to Assistant Chief of a city police dept. in Denton County. Later joined a
Multi-Agency Narcotics Task Force, with a 7 county area...Expand for more
of responsibility, the death of a fellow Police Academy classmate was the motivation for this change. He was killed while working undercover at a Midilothian{Tx} High School. I stayed there four years, but left when my daughter started having nightmares about my work. I joined the Dallas County Hospital District in 1989, and currently work there{01/2001}. I joined a federal disaster response team, TX4DMAT {Disaster Medical Assistance Team} as a Public Safety Officer and I become a Federal Officer when responding to different types of manmade and natural disasters. I have attended the Secret Service School for Executive Protection and worked some interesting assignments, both public and private. More to come.. life still goes on. . . . .

And yes, I didn't graduate TJ, but I wasn't a complete idiot, Uncle Sam had plans for me and I continued the steps.
