SGT Russell joined the Wisconsin Army Reserves (Madison Army Reserve Center) in 1986 as a 19D Calvary Scout (Went to Basic & AIT in Fort Knox, KY). Then in 1987 he transferred to the Wisconsin National Guard (Janesville, WI Army National Guard) Where he got on the job training as a 55B Ammunition Specialist (AIT would of been at Redstone Arsenal, AL), later that same year he enlisted in the U.S. Army as a 91A Combat Medical Specialist (AIT in Fort Sam Houston, TX). SGT Russell reenlisted in 1989 as a 91P Radiological Technologist (AIT in Fort Sam Houston, TX). SGT Russell received his GED in 1988 and his diploma as a Personal Computer Specialist in 1997. He is a graduate of PLDC and BNCOC. SGT Russell is also a graduate of the Instructor Training course and has his Hotel Skill Identifier. SGT Russell has also graduated the Telemedicine Directive course and Levels 1 and 2 System Administrator / Network Manager Security Course. He attended on-line through Rio Salado University (EArmyU) in Tempe, AZ for his Associates degree in Computer Science. When SGT Russell retired from the Army he attended Austin Peay State University (APSU) for his Bachelor of Science in History and a minor in Religious studies. SGT Russells previous assignments have included tours at HHC (1/40th) 1/70th Armor Battalion, Fort Polk, LA; Darnell Army Community Hospital, Fort Hood, TX; 98th General Hospital (3 CSH and 502 CSH), Nuremberg, Germany; 120th Medical Clinic, Erlangen, Germany; Nobel Army Health Clinic (Noble Army Community Hospital) and a clinic in Anniston Army Depot, Fort McClellan, AL; Baltimore Military Entrance Processing Station, (MEPS) Linthicum, MD; Womack Army Medical Center (1 year TDY to Soldier Readiness Processing Center, (SRPC) Fort Dix, NJ), Fort Bragg, NC; C CO 426 BSB (1ST BDE), Fort Campbell, KY and was attached to the Division Surgeons Office as an STARS NCO (also as the 1ST BDE representative) and also worked in LaPointe Clinic Radiology. SGT Russell returned to the 426 BSB Rear Detachment in July 2006, and back to C CO 426 BSB in January 2007. SGT Russell started terminal leave 21 March 2007 and retired 30 June 2007 with 20 years, 3 months, and 6 days. SGT Russells decorations include: the Army Commendation Medal (5OLC); the Joint Service Achievement Medal; the Army Achievement Medal (4OLC); the Good Conduct Medal (6TH); the National Defense Service Ribbon (2); the Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. SGT Russell is currently married to Connie (Ballew), who has one son Adam (21). SGT Russell has a son Jesse James (31) who lives with my 1st wife Kim in WI and where he has a son named Dimitri (10), and a daughter Sandra (20), who lives in Alexandria, VA where she is working on her Bachelor degree. In his spare time SGT Russell likes to work with computers and cars. Also enjoys cooking, gardening, hunting and fishing. But most of all he enjoys riding his Harley. SGT Russell has bought a house in Clarksville, TN and has retired here with his wife and his cat Salem (Boogers). Also where Adam married Dominique Reeves on 7 August 2015. The last thing I would like to say is, I really miss my son Jesse, and I wish that I could get to know him again and to meet his son. ******************************************** I like the four seasons. I like spring when everything is starting to bloom, and everything looks new and fresh. To smell the dirt as the farmers begin to till. I like the smell of the air after a light gentle sprinkle. I like summer when you sit out on the porch or relax beneath a tree and feel the warm gently breeze. To watch life growing everywhere, seeing the birds learning to fly and seeing the lightning bugs floating and flitting at dusk. I love fall when everything begins to change their life cycle. To see the trees, their leaves turning into so many splendid colors, that it almost hurts your eyes on a sunny day.
