Workplace After leaving the Marines in April 1986, I went to school and learned how to program/operate computers. I then held several temporary jobs as a computer operator/programmer and data enty operator. I continued with the USMC reserves until July 1987. I was selected as a Border Patrol Agent in El Paso, Texas. I graduated from the Border Patrol Academy at the FLETC in Glynco, GA in December 1987. In February 1991, I was promoted to Asylum Officer in Anaheim, CA (yeah...after El Paso I went to DISNEYLAND!!) for INS. I interviewed many refugees from many different parts of the world. I also participated in several operations during the Haitian migration crisis in 1991-1995. I also worked as an interdiction officer with the US Coast Guard during Cuban interdictions off the coast of Florida (Key West). AWSOME DUTY!!!
