James's Story
At Bellevue I was heavily involved in sports and lettered all three years in both football and baseball. I was the Junior Class President but was defeated by fellow student and friend John Kennedy when I ran for Senior Class President. I like to think I lost that election because of "name recognition advantage" as that was the same year John F. Kennedy became President of the United States. :)
I went off to Edinboro University from Bellevue and had some modest success playing football my first year there. However, a simple hand injury ended that activity permanently. ...Expand for more
I turned my focus to higher education and academics/student services and eventually earned a Masters and a Doctorate from Columbia University. I then spent 35 years at Lock Haven University, first as a dean of men, and then as the Associate Dean of Academic Administration (Registrar). I retired in 2004 and have been doing educational consultant work on and off since then both in the States and abroad. My ex-wife and I raised three perfect sons, two of whom currently live with their families in the Pittsburgh Area. The third son lives in State College with his new bride.
