James's Story
Life
I left K town in 59 and didn't go back except for visits. Married 53 years to Adelyn Garofalo (Utica, NY), we have two children, a boy and a girl. We have 5 grandchildren, 3 boys and 2 girls. I retired after 23 years from Motorola's Connected Home Solutions Division as a Project Manger traveling all over the country. We have lived in Lakeland Florida since 1981. I also went to Inskip. I still see my friend of probably 65+ years, James Watkin from Knoxville when he and his wife Barb come down to their time share in Fla. I'm jpsfla on yahoo. I was into Ham radio for years but sort of inactive now K4MED. Only retired for 1 1/2 years and went back to work for Verizon on the FiOS project.

years is not there now. Verizon sold the Florida Fios system to Frontier effective 4/1/16 and that means me! Got to be nuts to be still working again for the last 3 years.ð my 185 bowling average has really suffered over the last rew years because of snapping my bicep bowling and the bad knees. :(. One year in on the knee replacement and hoping my bowling comes back again but what the heck, I am 75 after all just glad to be still bowling. :)
College
It was a very intense time, working afternoons and evenings parking cars and nights at KCMK-FM radio station while trying to stay awake in class. Of course in Electronics lab when your classmate tossed you a capacitor charged with 450 volts, it tended to wake you up. Luckily I was more serious about studying in College than high school but we did have some fun too.
