James's Story

Life After High School I took a quality control position in the Aerospace Industry and after 7 years was laid off when theat Industry crashed. After being unemployed for 3 weeks I was hired on by GTE in Huntington Beach after a a year I transferred to the Long Beach office to work in the call center for their wireless division. I stayed with the company for 13 years and had no intentions on leaving. But unfortunately was forced to after being terminated while I was on a leave of abscence. Its just unfortunate after giving Verizon several years of my time and service and I am not so much as bitter as I am angry.....You know what they say though? Things happen for a reason.....I am jus not sure what the reason is yet. Nevertheless, Not sure what to do next I decided to enroll into college and get my degree/certificate for a Landscape Architecht . I enrolled into Orange Coast College and became a full time student and was determined to finish my courses and I semester shy of Graduating I had to drop out because my Financial Aid had some issues and was taken away and I couldnt afford college on my own. But I am not going to let that discourage me. I have no family left in California and mi them from time to time and the few friiends I do have are quality friends. I have two sons ages 20 and 17 who I love dearly ....Oh yeah then there is Lora my ex wife and my very best friend who means the world to me. I could sit here and blow smoke up everybodys butt and create this profile that most would drool over but the honest truth is I have had more downs than ups and more losses than gains things may have not have worked out in my life but I dont throw blame at anyone but myself and if anything I have become astronger and wiser person from my experiences. School LOYAL TO NORWALK...... SORRY FORGOT THE REST OF THE SONG ANYWAYS AS I SIT HERE AND LOOK BACK AT THOSE YEARS I CANT THINK OF ANY HORRIFYING MOMENTS BUT I DO REMEMBER ALOT OF HAPPY ONES. EVEN THOUGH I DIDNT HANG WITH ANY CLICKS I DO REMEMBER TALKING TO ALOT OF YOU BUT IF I AM CORRECT OUR CLASS REALLY WASNT CLICKISH. IF I WERE TO SHARE MY HAPPIEST, FUNNIEST, CRAZIEST MOMENTS I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT IT WAS BEING IN THE HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING, JAZZ, AND CONCERT BAND. I REALLY ENJOYED THE PARADES, FIELD SHOWS, PEP RALLYS AND COMPETITIONS. NOT ONLY DID THEY GIVE ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE PART OF SOMETHING BUT IT TAUGHT ME DISCIPLINE, STRUCTURE AND PERFORMANCE. ONE LAST THING BEFORE I FINISH I CAN ALSO ANSWER ANOTHER QUESTION AND THAT WOULD BE WHICH TEACHER INSPIRED ME THE MOST AND THAT WOULD HAVE TO BE MR HINO AND UNTIL THIS DAY HE STILL FITS THAT PART EVEN WHEN I WAS ILL IN THE HOSPITAL HE WAS THE ONE TEACHER WHO CAME TO VISIT ME AND THIS WAS YEARS AFTER GRADUATING AND I STILL REMAIN IN TOUCH WITH HIM. College Ok change of school and direction again.....If your keeping track this will be the third change. score now 3 schools 0 degrees. I am confident I will achieve my goal of a degree this time around .....I have to laugh here because I am now 38 and I am still trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up but first I need to figure out how I keep getting off track. I am currently attending Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa California with plans to transfer to Cal Poly Pomona to finish my degree and have my bachelors for landscape architect.. LITARY? THAT ONE WOULD BE DIFFICULT FOR ME THAT WHOLE ASK DO NOT TELL POLICY.... WHAT A JOKE LIKE I AM SUPPOSED TO BE ASHAMED OF WHO I AM. MY AMERICA HAS GIVEN ME A REALITY CHECK IN THE SENSE IT HAS OPENED MY EYES AND I HAVE REALIZED IT IS NOT FREEDOM FOR ALL JUST FREEDOM FOR CERTAIN PEOPLE OR GROUPS. EACH DAY I WALK OUT MY FRONT DOOR AND MIX INTO SOCIETY I GO INTO A BATTLEFIELD, ALWAYS IN TRAINING HAVING TO BE SHARPER AND MORE SKILLED THAN MY COUNTERPART. CONSTANTLY HAVEING TO DEAL WITH IGNORANCE EVEN IN TODAYS MODERN SOCIETY. I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THAT IN A COUNTRY WITH SO MANY MINORITIES AND SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS ETCS THAT THERE WE STILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH IGNORANCE, PREDJUDICE AND HATE. LEADING ME TO BELIEVE THAT THE HUMAN RACE THE SUPERIOR RACE MAY BE SUPERIOR BUT NOT VERY INTELLIGENT IGNORANCE HAS BROKEN, BEAT DOWN AND HAS EVEN KILLED MANY INNOCENT PEOPLE. I HAVE EVEN HAD TO DEAL WITH MY SHARE... NO MORE THOUGH IT HAS NOW GIVEN ME STRENGTH AND THE DRIVE I NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL AND EVEN ENJOY LIFE.I NO LONGER FEAR IGNORANCE OR THE PEOPLE DISHING IT OUT I CHALLENGE IT..... WHAT I AM SAYING IS I COULD NOT FIGHT FOR A COUNTRY THAT ONLY ALLOWS ME CERTAIN RIGHTS AND GIVES ME SEPERATE LAWS. A COUNTRY THAT IS BUILT ON AN UNJUST GOVT. A COUNTRY THAT SUPPORTS A BUSINESS THAT BREEDS HATE,JUDGEMENT AND VIOLENCE. A BUSINESS FULL OF GOD LOVING HYPOCRITES YES WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE CHURCH ORGANIZED RELIGION THE CHRISTIAN ARMY A BREEDING GROUND OF HATE AND JUDGEMENT. THIS COUNTRY HAS TWO STRONG FORCES WITHIN IT TWO FORCES THAT NEVER SHOULD BE MIXED BUT HAVE AND THEY ARE THE AMERICAN GOVT AND THE CHURCH AND THEY KNOW PEOPLE WILL LISTEN, FOLLOW AND OBEY THEM LIKE TRAINED RATS. THE AMERICAN GOVT AND ORGANIZED RELIGION WILL BE THIS COUNTRYS DOWNFALL AND EVIDENCE SHOWS THE TWO ARE HAVING A HARD TIME KEEPING SEPERATED AND TENSION IS BUILDING BETWEEN THE TWO.... THE MILITARY HA! GOD BLESS AMERICA.... LAND OF THE FREE. HMMMM I always wanted to be a Lawyer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a Bad idea. As it turns out, they were Right. I usually keep it inside and stay to myself if not that I smoke a bowl. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have my shower, my car, and and music to be able to deal with the day-to-day. As I get older I find I do not need a hero I think I look to myself as a hero. oh tuff one I have a few obsessions plants and landscaping, I am a cleaning fanatic and the other one is more personal. hehe Having kids made me mature, heal and grow as a person. I no longer struggled within. Its like everything made sense to me and I felt complete and comfortable with myself no longer needing others approval. But the biggest thing I have learned and finally understand is unconditional love now that was powerful for me. I never truly knew what love was until I did have children and its the most incredible feeling one could have and I am very careful how I use the word now only because I know how it feels. My best friend would tell you I'm Fun, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as stuck up. My first job was at Kentucky Fried Chicken, where I got paid very little to serve the public. What I remember most about it is the grease burns I had from cleaning the fryers and always smelling like chicken when I left there. to this day I still dont eat chicken.
