James's Story
Greetings Fellow Alumni:
I hope these words find you well.
I'm still single at age forty-three. I worked as a machinist (my trade at Valley Tech) for the first few years after high school; later, I worked as a computer programmer. From 2002 to 2010, I was a full-time student at the Univeristy of Massachusetts at Boston.

udent, where I studied History (American Civil War) under the direction of Professor Michael B. Chesson. I completed my M.A. degree in 2010 with a cummulative 3.95 GPA.
I've received two book awards for academic excellence: History (2005) and Philosophy (2006). I was awarded the McCarthy Scholarship by the History Department in 2008.
In addition to my academic degrees, I'm inducted into the following honor societies: Alpha Sigma Lambda (1997), Golden Key (2004), Phi Alpha Theta (2005), and The National Scholars Honor Society (2006). I've also been listed in the 2005 edition of the "National Dean's List."
