Life
To anybody interested,
I'm still here on LI, keeping up with the Jones's in Garden City. I've got a beautiful wife, three beautiful children (9 year old twins and a 6 year old)and a not-so beautiful mortgage. Life is good, although I sometimes miss the after college living in Long Beach days (and nights). That's where I met my wife, I guess I was in the right place at the right time. I stayed home for school at Hofstra - what a mistake. I should've gone away, then I could've experienced life a little more, dropped out - and come home and gone to Hofstra. I guess it could've been worse, I was an environmental engineer for years and I got to travel around the country a lot, and now I'm doing pretty good as a resident engineer working in NYC bridge reconstruction. ildren are playing soccer now - it brings back memories (mostly of me sitting on the bench).
My children are pretty athletic, I think they got my wife's good genes. For any of you old Rebels out there I'm still playing softball, but just for kicks with my company team. I still hang around with Mike Espo and Pops, although not as much as I should. It's funny how time changes you - I don't feel old but now my idea of a good time is watching the kids play in the sand at the beach - it's almost like doing it over again. Sometimes we'd like to pick up and move away, but we're still searching for the perfect little beach town that no one's discovered yet. Until then, we'll stick around here and hope the kids don't grow up too fast. 1981 seems like a long time ago.
