James's Story
Hi all, After SHS '69 went to Woodstock that summer then off to college in Louisiana for one year fooling around and playing in a band six nights a week. Somehow my grades suffered. Didn't go back the next fall and joined the Marines.
I wound up stationed in California, got out after two years, but eventually spent about three more years out there.
Came back to New Jersey (to visit), ran out of money, got a job in Belleville as a welder. Climbed the ladder, finished school at Fairleigh Dickinson with a degree in accounting. Left that job after sixteen years as vice-pre...Expand for more
sident and bought my own company. Married a gal from North Arlington and raised two kids during that time. A girl and a boy now 25 and 26 years old. Still have my company, a feed and pet supply store in West Milford. I guess I went back to my roots like when I grew up in the family hardware store, Sparta Hardware. I was never happy working for someone else, and the suit and tie job didn't suit me. Still living in North Arlington and have a place at the Jersey Shore.
