James's Story
The prompt directed the user to describe how one would like to be remembered. To be remembered at all after 45 years is all one could hope for. But if anyone does have any recollections of me of course I hope they're favorable. I have many memories of high school and the hundreds of classmates that I shared those years with. All but a handful are fondly remembered. There were so many of us yet if memory serves me almost everyone possessed a rather unique identity. Even as I write I can recall how much I admired (and envied)a myriad of individuals for a myriad of reasons. The intellect of Kania, Weber, Ebert, Wolf, Tojek, Troglia (although his was often hidden behind irreverent insanity),Wollering, Bethke, Shaffer,...Expand for more
and others awed and impressed me. The inspirational personalities of Gau, Krause, Horatis, Kinart, Vallee, Erchull, Aiello, Barker, Wencka, Kuhn, Banyai, Rogacki, Plyer and others are literally unforgettable. It is also difficult to forget infatuations, crushes, and attractions. The objects of my youthful affections are indeed remembered but to avoid embarassment (mostly theirs) they shall not be named. I am in debt to a number of teachers. I owe more than I can say to Mrs. Moews, Mrs. Case, and Mr. Laessig. Whatever little educational accomplishment I've experienced post high school is all but directly attributable to them. Enough, I am weary of reminising and this is vey unlikely to be read by anyone anyway.
