James's Story
Life
I am currently working for BNSF Railway but rapidly preparing for retirement. My title is Consulting System Engineer Classification Yards, which translates to designing and implementing computer systems for the railroads computerized switching yards. However, one of my major functions lately is training a lad they hired to replace me.
When I am not working I am either fishing or thinking about doing so. Muskie fishing is my hobby and a passion. My wife (Margaret Daugherty) and I have a summer place on Cass Lake in northern Minnesota. We spend most of our vacation and ...Expand for more
nearly every summer weekend near there. I am usually fishing for fun, but sometimes also for money.
My sons are 30 and 24 years old and need very little nurturing other than advice on various subjects on which they usually choose their own path anyway.
When I retire, Margaret and I intend to travel some especially when the cold sets in. I will probably be retained by the company in a consulting capacity, which will be filler between the cabin, travel, and full time retirement.
