James Buchanan:  

I earned a BSAS in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. As if that were not painful enough, I continued and completed the EMBA (Executive Master's of Business Administration)program at YSU in 2005. My then girlfriend and present wife endured the great pains and challenges of having a mate that had little to no time to spend with her, as I attended school and worked full-time. For that, I thank and praise her. I don't think I could have completed or overcome the tasks, challenges, and hurdles of my educational and professional career without her efforts and determination. My daughter, now 20, is enrolled at Penn State and is promising to follow in her Dad's footsteps to get her degree. She is an extremely smart girl (Dad's would never say anything less, would they?) that is headed in a good direction. I hope she doesn't plan to provide me with any Grandchildren soon! I recently remarried in January of 07, following an 8 year courtship, after being single for many many years. With this union I happily inherited a 25 yr old step-son and a terrific 5 yr old grandson. I have married my soulmate, a person that I admire, a mate that I respect, and hold a higher regard for than she knows. She is not only more intelligent than most people that I know and interact with; she is often more realistic and "down-to-earth" than most professionals that I have association with. I work in Texas for an internationally owned conglomerate, as the Engineering and Technology Manager- North America. Although based at our corporate offices in Texas, I am currently working in Canada. I build plants, facilities, complexes, deal with foreign governments, and manage people. I have travelled to Brazil and other South American countries and am on the hook to go to China, France, Germany, Australia, and other corners of our globe once I complete my current assignment.
